About Arthur M. Gelber & Company (AMG)

Arthur Gilbert

Arthur Gelber moved with his family from Chicago to Los Angeles when he was fifteen. After graduating from UCLA he attended law school at USC. He joined the U.S. Navy and upon discharge, he chose investment banking as his career, and trained at both Paine Webber and Merrill Lynch. After leaving Merrill Lynch, he started his own investment bank, specializing in corporate financing consulting for middle market sized companies. After almost 40 years, he is still at its head working full time.

When he takes time off, he can be found pursuing his many other interests. He greatly enjoys foreign travel, reading, sports, symphony and the theater, and also the study of history and economics. Arthur has been a volunteer with Jewish Big Brothers, and in his Temple affairs. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant jg, and was stationed in the Far East.
